DJ Switch, Falz, Yemi Alade, Others Convict the Arrest of #OccupyLekkiTollGate Protesters

 

Nigerian celebrities have taken to their Twitter accounts to criticize the arrest of #OccupyLekkiTollGate protesters. The men of the Nigeria Police Force arrested some of the peaceful protesters encompassing Instagram celebrity, Mr. Macaroni, and singer, Idahams, aso Naija gathered.

Putting up to her Twitter account, popular Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Switch, condemned the action of the Police.

She wrote, “I am pleading with everyone today, celebrities & non-celebrities, influencers & non-influencers; the way we did #BlackOutTuesday for foreigners, let’s shout out #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality all thru! Flood your timelines… SOROSOKE!!! SPEAK!!!! SHOUT!!!!

“Wat did Mr. Macaroni do? Wat, did our other brothers and sisters do? What? Since we can’t match ur power, we r working seriously 2 lobby those u fear! I told u, it could be me or you! Hopefully, on d 17th that process begins #EndSARS #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria #EndPoliceBrutality. A government ‘quick’ to give explanations for herdsmen! A government so ‘ineffective’ to fight Boko Haram! But ‘slow’ and ‘effective’ for the youths. It may and most likely take time, but this is the generation that will stop you!”
