I Won’t Leave My Wife Even If She Cheats On Me — Singer Seun Kuti

Nigerian afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has revealed that he won’t leave his wife if she cheats on him, Aso Naija Reports.

According to him, infidelity is not a deal breaker in their marriage. His wife, Yetunde, who also appeared with him on the Valentine edition of the TVC programme, Your View, recently, said would also not leave if the singer cheats on her.

Mrs Kuti said, “There is nothing my husband is going to do that would make me leave him. Even if he cheats on me I won’t leave him. I am not going to leave my husband because he cheated on me. Nah, that can’t happen.”

Mr Kuti inferred: “We don’t believe in cheating. What is cheating? Love is not ownership.” One of the hosts asked Seun Kuti, “Would you leave her [your wife] if she cheats on you,” to which he replied, “No. What has that got to do with anything?”

Burna Boy’s Grammy Hopes Dashed as All Four Nominations Lead to Defeat

Despite being nominated in four categories, Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, did not secure any awards at the 66th Grammy Awards, Aso Naija Reports.

In the Global Music Performance category, Burna Boy’s song ‘Alone’ faced tough competition from Zakir Hussain, Bela Fleck, and Edgar Myer’s ‘Pashto,’ which emerged as the winner.

Similarly, in the Best African Music Performance category, Damini’s  ‘City Boys’ was surpassed by South African singer Tyla’s ‘Water.’

The Best Melodic Rap Performance category was claimed by American rappers Lil Durk and J Cole for their song ‘All My Life,’ outshining Damini and 21 Savage’s ‘Sittin’ On Top of the World.’

Burna Boy’s fourth nomination, Best Global Music Album, was also unsuccessful. His album ‘I Told Them’ was nominated in this category, but it was ultimately defeated by the World fusion band Shakti’s ‘This Moment.’

Police Arrest Mr Ibu’s Son And Adopted Daughter For Stealing 55m From His Donations

Actor John Okafor’s son, Oyeabuchi Daniel Okafor, and adopted daughter, Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu, have been apprehended by the police in Ikoyi, Lagos State, Aso Naija Reports.

They are accused of embezzling a sum of N55 million from donations intended for John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu.

The Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCID) in Alagbon released a statement on January 25, 2024, confirming the arrests. ASP Mayegun Aminat, the spokesperson for FCID, stated, “On September 6, 2023, we received a petition from Diamond Waves Law on behalf of Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor. The petition alleged that Onyeabuchi Daniel Okafor, Valentine Okafor (both sons of Mr. John Ikechukwu Okafor, also known as Ibu), and Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu conspired to defraud Mr. Ibu while he was on a sick bed.”

During the investigation, it was discovered that Mr. Ibu had initiated a public fundraising campaign to cover his medical expenses. He received donations from his fans, individuals from the entertainment industry, and other well-meaning members of the public, which were deposited into a bank account specifically designated for this purpose.

Initially, Mr. Ibu’s wife, Mrs. Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor, managed the funds to pay for his medical bills and support the family. However, Onyeabuchi Daniel Okafor and Jasmine Chioma Okekeagwu allegedly manipulated Mrs. Stella Maris Chinyere Okafor, gained possession of Mr. Ibu’s phone, and hacked into his banking details.

Subsequently, they installed Mr. Ibu’s mobile banking applications on Onyeabuchi Daniel Okafor’s phone to execute their fraudulent scheme. They erased the original banking applications from Mr. Ibu’s phone, effectively taking full control of his banking activities related to the funds donated by the public for his medical expenses.
