Last week, TikTok started the trend for fans to record themselves pouring and even consuming various liquid and solid materials on their heads while Joeboy’s latest hit song “Alcohol” played in the background.
His fans have used Dettol antiseptic, dirty water, hypo-bleaching, alcoholic beverages, palm oil, among other things.
Cases have also been reported of some who ended up in hospital after ingesting harmful materials.
On his Twitter page, the musician, who thanked fans for showing so much love for his song, urged them not to go to extremes to participate.
He wrote; ‘‘So in addition to not pouring stuff on your bodies, PLS STOP INGESTING UNHEALTHY THINGS too. Let’s enjoy the song AND stay alive. Bless”
