How Fatherhood and Money Changed Me – Naira Marley

Popular Nigerian Singer, naira Marley has spoken on how fatherhood and money had influence on his welfare and wellbeing, aso Naija reports.

Speaking on how he manages being a record label owner, Naira Marley said:

My uniqueness (in being a record label boss) is just to be real. I’m just so 100% real with my artistes, they see everything. I let them basically have all the freedom they have and let them be themselves and still decide. We created a friendship. We’re very close. Sometimes, we even forget I’m their boss. We have a good relationship. My own thing is I’m just a 100 percent real with them. I also try not to let it be too much label push and influencer push. I decided to make it concrete cuz it has to be organic, from the streets, you know. Like Zino (i.e. Zinoleesky) has concrete fanbase you know!

Speaking on how money and fatherhood has changed him, Naira Marley said:

For some reason, the money has probably changed me small. I can’t be bothered with certain stuff but I can’t really change deep down. But in the public eye, I’ve changed some things cuz I can’t be bothered you know what I mean? I’m too blessed. I try not to make trouble. I don’t even make trouble but I’ll still reply to trouble if trouble comes my way.

People expect me to still be rugged and still be doing the same live and talking all that. I have a lot of people looking up to me now. I have my own artistes you know, I can’t embarrass them. I have my kids. And apart from that, I’m so blessed. In the space of that many years, I’ve done so many things for myself. Like I’m so blessed. I’m just not good at showing off but I’m so blessed. So that obviously changed my movement.
