Peter Obi Tells IPOB, Bandits, Others What To Expect If He Becomes President

Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi has argued that groups campaigning to leave Nigeria are not like bandits, aso Naija reports

This is how he promises to have different relationships with the two groups because they do not represent the same thing.

According to Obi, agitators should be brought to the table, but the bandits are criminals and should be treated like delinquents.

Asonaija reported that the presidential candidate made this comment on Wednesday in an interview on Arise TV’s primetime show

In his words, “For those who are agitating, and disagreeing, you first start by dialogue. No matter who they are, I will discuss with everybody so that you will know when to throw a line and say we’ve tried this and it’s not working.

Asked if he would include bandits in the dialogue, Obi replied: “they are not among people I will discuss with”.

“Bandits are bandits, criminals are criminals. I’m going to deal with it decisively,” he said.

Peter Gregory Obi CON is a Nigerian businessman and politician who served as governor of Anambra from March to November 2006, February to May 2007, and from June 2007 to March 2014.

In May 2022, he became the Labour Party candidate for President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election.
