Why I Picked Funke Akindele As  Running Mate – Jandor

The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olajide Adediran aka Jandor, has revealed the reason he picked actress, Funke Akindele, as his running mate, aso Naija reports 

He made this known on Thursday on the Sunrise Daily show on Channels TV.

Asked why he picked a “popular face” to be his running mate, Jandor responded, “I didn’t choose Funke (Akindele) because she’s a popular face.

I chose her because she’s qualified, even if she wants to be governor of this state.

“What is wrong with her? This is somebody that has invested so much in this economy, somebody who has been an employer of labour in this economy.”

Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor, is a Nigerian politician, journalist, entrepreneur, and technocrat.

He is the chairman of Lagos4Lagos movement and the Lagos State Gubernatorial candidate under the People’s Democratic Party with his running mate, Funke Akindele.

Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele-Bello popularly known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa, is a Nigerian film actress, politician and producer.

Akindele starred in the sitcom I Need to Know from 1998 to 2002, and in 2009, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
