MTV Europe Award 2021: Wizkid Bags Best African Act

Wizkid, has bagged another another award , aso Naija reports.

Wizkid is a nigerian award winner and has added another plague to his shelf as he has bagged the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.

He beat the likes of Tems, Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae, and Focalistic in the tightly-contested category to get the award.

Congratulating the Essence singer on his win, organisers of the event via their Instagram handle, @mtvbaseafrica, wrote, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.”

Also, the singer took to his verified Instagram story to repost a video snippet of this announcement as the winner of the category.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

He began recording music at the age of 11 and released a collaborative album with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his church friends formed
