Multiple Travelers Abducted by Gunmen in Border Community Between Ekiti and Ondo States

Reportedly, a group of armed individuals ambushed and abducted numerous travelers in a border community situated between Ekiti and Ondo States, Aso Naija Reports.

The incident occurred on Thursday evening along the route connecting Ikere Ekiti and Iju. The victims, traveling in two vehicles—an identified Toyota Corolla and a white Highlander—were intercepted and forcibly taken into the nearby forest.

A circulating online video of the event depicts the assailants firing multiple shots at the vehicles. At present, it remains uncertain whether the kidnappers have made any ransom demands to the victims’ families.

However, both the Ondo State Amotekun personnel and the Nigerian police have been alerted and initiated efforts to track down the abductors.
