UNIZIK lecturer To Pay N19m Hospital bill after giving birth to seven babies in Anambra

A lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, Mrs. Ngozi Uzodike, has been delivered of septuplets (seven babies); two boys and five girls, aso Naija reports.

Uzodike, who works in the Department of Business Administration, was delivered of the babies at Obijackson Women and Children Hospital, Okija, on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Her husband, Celestine Uzodike, a junior aide to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, in a chat with newsmen disclosed that the babies were born prematurely at 26 weeks.

He said they were slammed with N19million bill at the hospital because the babies were placed in the intensive care unit and each of them cost N3million.

 

One of the babies, has sadly, passed away, leaving the couple with six others.
