Nollywood Actor Sylvester Madu Detained in Cameroon Following Fatal Shooting Incident

Nollywood actor Sylvester Madu has been apprehended by police authorities in Bamenda, Cameroon, in connection with a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the loss of four lives, Aso Naija Reports.

The incident occurred at a local beer parlour on Saturday, November 23, 2023.

According to reports, a group of unidentified gunmen raided the establishment at around 10 pm, where Madu and a few others were present. The attack claimed the lives of four individuals and caused severe injuries to more than ten others.

Despite being rescued by military personnel, Madu was subsequently taken into custody after he insisted on the release of the four civilians who were also rescued. Sources indicate that he is currently being detained and is scheduled to appear in court.

It is worth noting that Madu had traveled to Cameroon to film a movie, further complicating the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
