Those Responsible for Kaduna Bombing Will Face Punishment – VP Shettima
He further stated that anyone found culpable in the incident will be duly punished.
During his visit to the victims of the attack at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in the capital city of Kaduna State on Thursday, the Vice President also assured that the Federal Government would provide support to the victims.
“While it is important to acknowledge the gravity of this incident, we should not dwell excessively on it. I am here because the President is deeply concerned and touched by what happened. Regardless of the number of lives lost, whether it be one or millions, every life taken unjustly is a tragedy. The President’s heart goes out to the grieving families. Our visit to the hospital is to express our condolences to the victims and to assure the affected community, as well as the government and people of Kaduna State, that the Federal Government stands with them during this unfortunate incident,” Shettima explained.
He further revealed that President had already issued a directive for an investigation to be conducted with the aim of preventing such incidents from happening again. The Vice President expects the investigation report to be submitted as soon as possible.
The incident, which occurred several days ago, plunged the nation into mourning, but the assurance from VP Shettima brings hope for justice and measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
