Actress Uzo Aduba Welcomes 1st Child With Filmmaker Robert Sweeting

Actress Uzo Aduba and filmmaker Robert Sweeting have joyfully welcomed their first child together—a baby girl named Adaiba Lee Nonyem. Uzo, known for her role in “Orange Is The New Black,” took to Instagram to share the happy news with her fans, Aso Naija Reports.

In her heartfelt message, she expressed the overwhelming love she feels for her daughter, stating that she has never experienced such deep and immediate love before. Uzo expressed her gratitude to God and described the arrival of Adaiba as a miraculous and blessed event.

She also shared her excitement about entering motherhood and joining the club of parents, acknowledging that the journey may have its challenges, but the rewards are immeasurable.

Earlier in June, during the 2023 Tony Awards, Uzo revealed her pregnancy, and at the time, sources close to the couple shared their elation about expanding their family. Uzo later discussed her experience of pregnancy and motherhood in an interview with The Bare magazine in October. She mentioned the support she receives from her sister, who is also expecting a child, and expressed her gratitude for the network of women who have been there for her during this season of her life.
