Authorities have apprehended four individuals in relation to the alleged kidnapping of two Catholic Priests at the Saint Vincent de Paul Fier in Kwande, Shendam Diocese of Plateau State, Aso Naija Reports.

The abducted clergymen, Frs. Kenneth Kanwa and Jude Nwachukwu, were taken on Thursday, February 1, by unidentified gunmen who forcefully entered the parish.

Fr. Cornelius Nweke, the parish priest of St. John Mary Vianney in Kwande, Shendam Diocese, confirmed the abd¥ction in a statement issued on Sunday, January 4. Fr.

Nweke urged the Catholic community to unite in prayer for the safe release of the abducted priests.

However, a surprising twist in the investigation has led to the arrest of four individuals believed to be members of the church.

Among the detained suspects is the Church’s financial secretary, who is alleged to have played a leading role in the criminal gang involved in the abduction.
