Tensions Rise as Hamas Vows to Exceed Previous Attacks and Israeli Prime Minister Issues Stern Warning

Hamas Threatens More Attacks on Israeli Civilians, Warning of Escalating Violence

Hamas has issued a statement expressing its intention to carry out additional acts of violence against Israeli civilians, Aso Naija Reports.

The terrorist group has warned that the forthcoming attacks will be even more severe and extensive.

Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’s armed wing, delivered this chilling threat, referring to a recent shooting incident in Jerusalem where two Hamas gunmen targeted a bus stop on November 30.

In that attack, three Israeli civilians, including a woman in her 20s, a woman in her 60s, and a 74-year-old rabbi, lost their lives during rush hour.

Obeida’s declaration that “what is coming is worse and greater” follows his earlier warning that Israeli hostages will be executed unless Hamas’s demands are met.

He made this ominous threat to Israel and what he referred to as its “arrogant leadership,” emphasizing that the hostages will not be returned alive without negotiations and the fulfillment of the resistance’s demands.

Israel claims that there are still 137 hostages being held in Gaza, while activists argue that around 7,000 Palestinians are currently imprisoned in Israel.

•The Hamas spokesperson asserted that the temporary truce between the terrorist group and Israel has demonstrated their credibility, stating that none of the enemy’s prisoners will be released except on their own terms.

In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Hamas, urging them to surrender immediately or face certain death.

As hostilities intensified, hopes for a ceasefire began to diminish, with Israel indicating its willingness to continue the bitter conflict for months or longer in order to completely eradicate Hamas.

Mediator Qatar expressed fading optimism regarding the willingness of the parties to negotiate.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks advanced further westward on Monday as part of their military campaign against Hamas in and around Khan Younis, the main city in the southern Gaza Strip. At the same time, United Nations officials reiterated their calls for a ceasefire to prevent a worsening humanitarian crisis.

The fighting in Khan Younis ensued as Israel redirected its military efforts to the south after intensifying operations in northern Gaza.
