Reps declare Gbajabiamila’s seat vacant after his resignation
This comes after Gbajabiamila tendered his resignation letter under personal explanation at the plenary on Wednesday, June 14.
Abbas, after receiving the letter and read to members said, “We have today declared the role of Surulere Lagos Constituency free following the resignation of Gbajabiamila.“
To the glory of God, I resigned my membership of the newly Inaugurated 10th House of Representatives today. Gbajabiamila said in his letter of resignation addressed to the Speaker that he would be taken up a new role as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to president Bola Tinubu.
The immediate past Speaker further said he would cease to be a member of the 10th House of Reps.
