Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Gets N10 Billion To Renovate Residence, N10.1 Bllion For Computer Software
The proposed budget estimates, presented to the National Assembly by the President, indicate that Mr. Gbajabiamila is expected to be allocated a total of N21 billion.
Specifically, the breakdown of the proposed allocation reveals that N104 million is earmarked for the purchase of computers and printers for local travel and transport for international training. The Chief of Staff’s office plans to spend N579 million, while N103 million is allocated for miscellaneous expenses.
Further analysis of the budgetary allocations indicates that N10 billion has been allocated for the reconstruction and repair of the Chief of Staff’s official residence. Additionally, N10.1 billion is designated for the purchase of computer software, and N290 million is allocated for the acquisition of vehicles.
Last week, President Tinubu presented a budget of N27.50 trillion for the year 2024 to both chambers of the National Assembly. This budget has since been approved by the Senate and the House of Representatives, with minor adjustments made to certain sectoral allocations.
During the live session in the House chamber, President Tinubu requested budgetary approval for a comprehensive spending plan that encompasses 1.78 million barrels per day of crude oil, a borrowing plan of N7.8 trillion, and an exchange rate of N700 to the US dollar.
