BREAKING! Two Additional Victims Killed by Kidnappers in Abuja Estate, Ransom Raised to N700m
This tragic act serves as a stern warning to the victims’ families, who have been negotiating the payment of ransom.
According to a report , the bandits have escalated their demands from the initial N60 million per person to N100 million, resulting in a cumulative ransom of N700 million.
Residents allege that the victims were k*lled due to the delay in meeting the kidnappers’ ransom demand. Among those who lost their lives was a 13-year-old secondary school student named Folorunsho Ariyo.
Recently, news emerged that the kidnappers, known for their activities in various villages in Bwari, had k*lled one of the six abducted individuals, Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, in order to pressure her family into swiftly raising the demanded ransom. In response, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Pantami, announced on Sunday that he had contributed N50 million towards the Al-Kadriyar family’s ransom, allowing them to secure the release of their remaining five daughters from the kidnappers following the tragedy involving Nabeeha.
Meanwhile, the residents of Sagwari Layout have finalized plans to stage a massive protest against what they perceive as government and security agencies’ inaction in rescuing their people. However, due to the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the protest, originally scheduled for Monday, has been postponed to Tuesday.
