Bukola Saraki Foundation Clears All Mr. Ibu’s Medical Bills
The Bukola Saraki Foundation has reportedly come to the aid of veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, by clearing his medical bills.
This intervention was prompted by Mr. Ibu’s public plea for financial assistance to cover his medical expenses.
He has been battling illness for several weeks and was hospitalized.
Mr. Ibu’s condition was quite severe, with medical professionals suggesting the possibility of amputating his leg as a last resort.
In a video message from his hospital bed, he reached out to the public, seeking both financial assistance and prayers.
In the video, Mr. Ibu’s wife and daughter also made emotional appeals for help.
His daughter revealed that she had been shouldering the burden of his medical expenses and called for support, emphasizing that the family desired to take him abroad for advanced treatment.
The news of Mr. Ibu’s predicament led to an outpouring of goodwill from his fans and well-wishers, with many offering their support.
However, just a few days later, the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation stepped in to alleviate the financial burden.
They announced their support for Mr. Ibu, stating that they had covered his entire medical expenses.
The foundation conveyed their admiration for the actor’s contributions to Nigerian entertainment over the past four decades and expressed their sense of duty to assist him during his health challenges.
The foundation encouraged others who were able to contribute in any form, whether financially, through moral support, or with prayers, to do so. They wished Mr. Ibu a speedy and full recovery.
