Naira Marley Demands Apology from Iyabo Ojo for Defamation and Threatens N500 Million Lawsuit

Afeez Fashola, who is widely known as Naira Marley, has issued a demand for an apology from Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, alleging defamation, Aso Naija Reports.

Furthermore, he has threatened to initiate legal action against her and seek damages of N500 million. The legal representative for Naira Marley, the law firm Olalekan Ojo (SAN) & Co, has sent a letter to Iyabo Ojo outlining the accusations.

According to the letter, Naira Marley’s counsel claims that Iyabo Ojo published false and malicious content about the singer on her Instagram account.

Specifically, they refer to an Instagram post made in September 2023, in which Iyabo Ojo accused Naira Marley of engaging in spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad.

Additionally, the lawyer alleges that Iyabo Ojo accused Naira Marley of causing mental harm to Mohbad.

In the letter, the legal representative for Naira Marley requests that Iyabo Ojo issue a public apology on her official Instagram account and in a national newspaper within seven days of receiving the letter.

Failure to comply with this request would prompt Naira Marley’s legal team to initiate legal proceedings, seeking damages amounting to N500 million from the actress.
