President Tinubu Fires 6 Aviation Parastatal Heads in Nigeria

1. Mr. Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has been relieved of his duties. He is replaced by Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku, who assumes the role of substantive Managing Director of FAAN.
2. Mr. Tayib Adetunji Odunowo, the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), has been removed from office. Engr. Umar Ahmed Farouk now assumes the position as the substantive Managing Director of NAMA.
3. Engr. Akinola Olateru, the Director-General of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), has been removed from office. Mr. Alex Badeh Jr. takes over as the substantive Director-General of NSIB.
4. Prof. Mansur Bako Matazu, the Director-General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), has been removed from office. Prof. Charles Anosike now serves as the substantive Director-General of NIMET.
5. Capt. Alkali Mahmud Modibbo, the Rector of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), has been removed from office. Mr.
Joseph Shaka Imalighwe assumes the role of Acting Rector of NCAT until a substantive Rector is appointed, in accordance with Section 13(2) of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Act, 2022.
6. Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, the Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has been suspended from office to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conduct an unrestricted investigation.
