Obi Cubana Shuts Down His Abuja Club Over Client’s Death

Obi Cubana, Socialite and businessman whose real name is Obinna Iyiegbu, has shut down his Abuja club, Hustle & Bustle, over the death of one of his clients.

The Anambra-born club owner made this known in an Instagram post on Monday.

It was gathered that the clubber died over the weekend but the circumstances of the death could not be ascertained as of press time.

An Instagram statement posted simultaneously by Cubana and his club, Hustle & Bustle, read, “We are closed till further notice. This is due to the loss of our esteemed client.

“We are deeply saddened by this situation and need time to heal from it. Our prayers are with the families of the lost soul. May her soul Rest In Peace. We sympathise with the family on this unbearable loss.

“Kindly bear with us as we pass through this storm.”

Aso Naija recalls that Cubana was recently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for three days over alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

He was, however, released on administrative bail but was gathered that he may be required to visit the EFCC headquarters from time to time until the conclusion of investigation.

Cubana became a social media sensation and the rave of the moment in July after the ‘naira rain’ at the burial of his mother in Oba, a town in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Several videos went viral that show celebrities, business people and politicians spray money indiscriminately during a concert held after the interment of the deceased.
