According to a recent study, engaging in an affair and cheating can have positive effects on marriages, defying traditional expectations.

The study, conducted by illicit encounters , a popular extramarital dating site, surveyed 1,400 individuals who admitted to being involved in extramarital affairs.

Astonishingly, 72% of respondents reported that their relationship with their spouse had experienced a significant improvement since the commencement of their affair.

Intriguingly, over half of the participants (52%) claimed that their sexual lives with their spouse had actually seen an upswing since they began cheating.

Rather than engaging in intimate encounters once or twice a month, these individuals claimed to have increased their frequency to up to six times a month, three times more than their previous average.

Simultaneously, they continued to engage in sexual activities and cheaing with their secret lover at least six times a month – according to the study.

The study also revealed that a staggering 90% of those involved in an affair admitted to continuing to have sex with their spouse.

When asked about the overall state of their relationship since embarking on their extramarital affair, 72% responded that it had “improved dramatically,” while only 2% claimed that it had worsened.

The remaining 26% reported no noticeable change.

Regarding the frequency of sexual encounters with their spouse, 52% reported an increase, while just 23% claimed a decrease, and 25% stated that it had remained relatively stable.

A spokesperson for Illicit Encounters commented on the findings, stating, “We surveyed 1,400 married members to explore the impact of having an affair on their home relationships.

Surprisingly, 72% of married individuals indicated that they are happier in their marriages since initiating an affair, with 52% reporting a surge in sexual activity with their spouses.”
