Basketmouth announces end of His 12 Years marriage to his wife, Elsie

Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has officially announced the end of his marriage to his wife and mother of his three kids, Elsie Okpocha.

Basketmouth announced the painful and heartbreaking news in a statement released on his verified Instagram page on Thursday afternoon, December 22.

“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.
After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance and support they need.
We humbly ask that you respect our privacy as we navigate through these times
Thank you.”

Aso Naija recalls that, a while back, Elsie sparked a debate online with her advice to women against telling their partners everything.

In an Instagram post, Elsie urged women to hold back on spilling every detail to their partners.

According to her, their partners do not need to know everything, especially if it is about their friends.

She was over the opinion of not divulging every information to their partners.
