“Speaking Igbo with accent” – Reactions as BBNaija star, Maria speaks to her worker in local dialect (Video)

Fans of Big Brother Naija star, Maria Chike, have reacted  to a funny and trending video of her speaking Igbo, aso Naija reports.

In the video, the reality TV star, who had just returned to Nigeria from a holiday overseas, is heard talking to one of her workers for destroying her plants.

While responding, the worker insisted that he watered the plants, which seemed to angered Maria even more.

In the course of venting, Maria switched to her dialect to address the worker, and it elicited hilarious reactions online.

“You killed my plant. Ehn? What do you mean mbah (no)? You’ve killed it. Like you’ve literally just killed my plant, like. Were you not watering it?” Dude you killed my plant, even the colors….. like likeee. Chineke gbokwagi oku ebe ahu (May God burn you there)”. An enraged Maria said.

Reacting, an Instagram follower @en_eji wrote, “She can clearly speak Igbo, that’s why he was communicating with her in dialect. The British ascent is for the cameras. Then her Nigerian ascent is her normal self.”
